Welcome to St. John’s Webpages
St. John’s is an unusual, if not unique, church. It was founded as a trustee Church of Ireland church by Sydney Herbert, brother of the Earl of Pembroke, in 1850. It has no parish but is a landmark in Sandymount, a coastal suburb of South Dublin City. There is still a pew reserved for the Earl of Pembroke in St. John’s. Since our foundation St. John’s has been known for Anglo-Catholic worship, a tradition we continue today.
We celebrate the Eucharist every Sunday at 11 a.m. Wherever you have come from, or whatever stage you feel you are on your journey through life and faith, you are welcome to worship with us.
